The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver and exceed Air Canada’s premium revenue targets by building and maintaining direct, strategic relationships with local and global corporations, SMEs (Air Canada for Business), top-tiered Elite Aeroplan members, premium Flight Pass flyers, Canadian university alumni, business chambers, or other associations and business networks in Hong Kong and South China. 
It’s essential that the successful candidate possesses consultative sales experience with a proven track record of selling to and maintaining relationships with high value customers and senior business leaders, preferably within the airline industry but similar experiences in other industries are welcomed. 
 
Key Functions & Accountabilities:  (Responsibilities, Activities, Authority levels, etc)
  • Deliver incremental corporate tracked revenue for Air Canada in Hong Kong, and increase Air Canada’s market share in both global and local corporations 
  • Work and interact collaboratively with global key account managers and Revenue Management to maximize revenue opportunities from global corporate accounts
  • Design the strategic roadmap and implement the launch of Air Canada for Business in Hong Kong 
  • Implement the business development of generating new corporate leads, calling, qualifying, and closing new leads to achieve new business conversion targets as new Air Canada for Business sign-ups
  • Account manage a newly constructed Air Canada for Business portfolio 
  • Track and manage the end-user: build and manage a multi-faceted CRM system consisting of key travellers, premium VFR families or Flight Pass flyers, travellers from alumni groups and business associations and chambers
  • Be the game changer in post-covid premium travel selling: diversify and develop new sustainable premium revenue segments through new product development and customer engagement (e.g. premium flyers who book direct, premium VFR families etc.)
  • Manage key strategic relationships with the chambers of commerce, associations, and alumni networks 
  • Be the local champion of Air Canada’s global business and premium travel products, including, but not limited to: Aeroplan and Air Canada for Business, to enhance its reach and local relevance
  • Feed continuous market intelligence to both the local and global account managers especially where it relates to TMCs, and global key accounts
  • Key success metrics: tracked corporate revenue in HK, ACB conversions, ACB revenue, AE revenue, managed premium ACO revenue.

Qualifications

  • University degree in any discipline (Essential) 
  • Previous consultative corporate sales experience (Essential) 
  • Experience in managing relationships with high value customers and business leaders (Essential)
  • Bilingual –English and Cantonese to native level of fluency, with a high level of proficiency in written English (Essential). Knowledge of French is highly desirable. 
  • High level of autonomy and ability to collaborate with colleagues remotely and virtually (Essential) 
  • Willingness to work across different time zones, or after office hours occasionally (Essential)  
  • Commercial acumen 
  • Excellent negotiation skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Polished and diplomatic communicator 
  • Strategic and innovative 
  • Drive and strong desire to exceed targets  
  • Experience in the airline industry preferable but not essential

Linguistic Requirements

Professional English is a requirement
Cantonese and French will be considered an asset
