Scope of the Position
  • Responsible for establishing and supporting the Jetz and Charter operational and sales activities at Air Canada in accordance with the applicable Standard Operating Procedures and to leverage all opportunities for revenue growth at Air Canada Jetz and Charters
  • Support overall commercial direction of margin expansion by leveraging available fleet, including Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge, Air Canada Express and Jetz by growing Air Canada’s charter program.
  • Ensure operational integrity in support of maintaining exceptional quality of service to charter passengers, including high value and VIP customers.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for AC Jetz and charter proposals and quotes 
  • Responsible for delivering and executing all AC Jetz adhoc charter contracts and long-term charter programs with clients and their legal representatives, liaise directly with Air Canada’s Legal, Taxation and Insurance Departments
  • Provide charter pricing to customers with objective of market share gain, increase revenue generation for Air Canada, and increasing aircraft utilization during traditional market low demand periods.
  • Represent and promote AC Jetz at meetings, trade shows, conventions, and corporate functions at local, national and international level.
  • Develop, and implement new sales business strategies for both Domestic and International clientele while promoting new destinations.
  • Liaise with AC Procurement for cost savings initiatives as required, such as, Into Plane Fuel, Security Screening, Catering and Ground Transportation 
  • Manage all aspects of ad hoc charter planning for the activities associated with charters, including above and below the wing.
  • Manage all ad hoc charter contracts, and responsible for Regulatory Approvals and Permits with CTA, US DoT, and International Governments as required
  • Liaise with Network Planning on capacity and fleet requirements for ad hoc charter flights utilizing the entire AC fleet (mainline, Rouge and Express).
  • Ensure operational feasibility on proposed flight/schedules by coordinating input from Flight Operations, Inflight, Aeronautical, Flight Dispatch, Maintenance, Airports and Technical Services, Call Centers, Corporate Security
  • Provide support to the Manager, Charter Operations to ensure operational integrity.
  • Provide support to the Operations Reps/Mechanics that travel with the clients.
  • Ensure the safe operation of all charter flights and liaise with the Fixes Base Operators and Airport Authorities as required.
Product Management 
  • Manage and maintain AC Jetz products and brand image.
  • Manage and implement new AC Jetz product development working closely with Marketing, Brand Management, Catering, Engineering, Maintenance, and Inflight Safety Departments
  • Maintain new AC Jetz brand with Marketing Department, brochures, website, promotional items, uniforms, onboard supplies.


  • Mandatory Covid-19 Vaccination Required as of October 31st, 2021
  • University or College degree in a related discipline
  • Min 3 years’ experience in specialty airline charter sales and management or 
  • Min 5 years’ experience in airline operational and/or commercial roles
  • Self-starter and demonstrated initiative taking skills.
  • Strategic thinker
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong knowledge of Air Canada’s products and process
  • High degree of creativity, innovation, and resourcefulness 
  • Scheduling skills an asset
