Adjust the planned operational schedule with short- & medium-term commercial requirements and operational constraints to maximize total network profitability.
  • Ensure network schedule integrity
  • Identify and integrate commercial and operational requirements (unplanned changes to assets, connectivity, maintenance, block time, etc.) in the short- & medium-term schedule while maintaining or exceeding the planned network profitability
  • Develop operationally feasible schedules which minimize costs of delivery across all stakeholders
  • Ensure proper network connectivity is maintained through schedule adjustments
  • Optimize fleet assignment, utilization & manage parked fleet
  • Ensure proper integration of regional airline flying in the planned schedule
  • Maintain interfaces and communicate requirements with operational & commercial groups
  • Optimize planned manpower requirements with operational branches
  • Assist in slot portfolio management as required


  • Airline experience, including operational and commercial knowledge
  • Experience with aircraft scheduling or similar scheduling experience
  • Ability to rapidly grasp impacts of schedule modifications on overall network 
  • Initiative in identifying schedule opportunities and threats and in implementing solutions
  • Mastery of information technology tools such as MS Office automation.  Knowledge of scheduling tools such as Sabre Schedule Manager and other scheduling systems an asset.
  • Knowledge of Air Canada financial and accounting concepts such as variable and fixed costs concepts and cost accounting
  • Ability to work in a deadline driven environment
  • Logical and analytical skills including the ability to question system outputs and to solve complex problems
  • Prioritization and time management skills
  • Communication skills including the ability to resolve conflicts
  • Ability to question system results
  • Negotiation skills and Team player
  • University degree an asset
  • Mandatory Covid-19 Vaccination Required as of October 31st 2021
