Reporting to the Performance Advisor – Client Solutions, the analyst will also work with other members of the team. The analyst will contribute to support business activities in the following fields: reporting, client service and distribution.
The analyst will be in charge of performing various calculations required to satisfy clients’ needs, such as asset returns, risk metrics and other useful quantitative information. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a broad range of asset classes (including fixed income, hedge fund, equity and alternative investment) and to join a dynamic team of seasoned professionals. 
Role and main responsibilities 
  • Calculate and keep record of the net and gross performance for TCC funds and clients.
  • Develop and ensure regular production of the suite of external reports specific to each fund.
  • Assist with data collection processes and contribute to the optimization of those processes.
  • Provide support for quarterly investor meetings for TCC funds.
  • Assist the team in the development of new investment products and projects.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative research and analyses, as well as ad hoc projects, to help the firm grow its assets under management.
  • Maintain good relationships with various internal parties, including compliance, middle office, operations, etc.

Education and Experience
  • University undergraduate degree in actuarial science, mathematic or finance
  • Professional qualification such as a FCIA or CFA designation is considered an asset
  • 2 years of relevant experience 
  • Experience in hedge fund, alternative investment and fixed income & liability driven investment (LDI) under an institutional environment is an asset
Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of mathematical finance
  • Possess quantitative skills and be able to manipulate quantities of data from Excel and other database systems to help prepare performance summary reports
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of investments products, especially specialized investments such as hedge funds
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Working knowledge of SQL or Python programming language is considered an asset
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details 
  • Ability to work well independently and under pressure

The position is based in downtown Montreal.
