New technology is driving the evolution of the travel ecosystem providing airlines with opportunities to reach into other areas of the transportation industry that it could not before. Air Canada is taking the lead to shape a modernized, cost-effective eCommerce package delivery system using technology and partnerships such as first and last mile logistic providers, pick-up and drop-off retail companies, and online courier aggregators. The goal is to leverage Air Canada’s vast network to provide eCommerce delivery services to domestic and international e-tailers.

The Rivo team is looking for an experienced individual who will contribute to achieving our revenue and commercials goals, streamline our pricing process, and deliver innovative solutions to track our ongoing revenue performance. In this role, you will work directly with the Manager, Network & Revenue Optimization to assist in developing competitive rates that capture customer requirements, evaluate partner and aggregator proposals to determine feasibility within the operational ecosystem, assist in revenue planning and collaborate with all internal stakeholders to identify any revenue opportunities.

As the ideal candidate, you thrive on understanding the commercial aspect of the eCommerce business and the latest methodologies shaping the next generation of consumer goods delivery. You are both analytical and solution oriented, ready to assist in providing creative solutions to maximize the revenue of the Rivo product.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Evaluate customer data (volume, coverage, current rates) to build a pricing proposal with rates, coverage and service level agreements which maximizes business revenue & profitability
  • Evaluate partner proposals and perform analyses to determine partner capabilities, requirements and solution fitting for first and last mile process
  • Assist in commercial strategy planning and support revenue planning process
  • Conduct post-audits and regularly track key performance indicators to adjust rates and offering as needed
  • Work closely with network optimization to implement changes in flight schedules and adjust customer offerings based off Air Canada’s operating schedule
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (such as Sales, Operations, Partnerships) to identify revenue opportunities
  • Develop and automate revenue reports per lane and per product to offer transparency and provide insights to the commercial team
  • Work with technology partners to build and develop accurate, real-time revenue reporting metrics
  • Work towards continuous improvement by integrating agile methodologies in day-to-day tasks and adopting lean based concepts


  • Mandatory Covid-19 Vaccination Required as of October 31st, 2021
  • Strong analytical background, with a degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or Statistics 
  • 2-3 years’ experience in commercial aviation, courier services or revenue management considered an asset
  • Strong understanding of yield management principles, including price elasticity, and supply and demand in the airline, transportations or logistics industry
  • Highly skilled user of MS Office applications, particularly Excel. Knowledge of Power BI or equivalent data visualization tool a strong asset
  • Excellent analytical, numerical and problem solving skills combined with strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter, detail oriented, with excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task & prioritize
