This position will report to the General Manager, Operations Enablement. This person will be responsible for establishing a comprehensive facility maintenance program and objectives, project management activities, initiating and conducting root-cause-analysis in relations to ground support equipment, mechanical/electrical reliability issues and coordinating predictive and preventative maintenance activities related to an eCommerce package business model across multiple facilities. In addition, the manager will be responsible for capacity and capital growth initiatives. Ensures compliance and adherence to all building and maintenance standard operating policies and procedures. Finally, the position will also be responsible for daily activities that are ensuring safety, following environmental protocols, optimizing productivity, reducing downtime while improving machine up-time, upholding quality, customer standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives at all sites.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead the implementation of equipment designed to move, screen, scan, and sort packages safely and in the most efficient manner throughout multiple facilities in the network.
  • Supervise and implement an environmental and preventative maintenance program across multiple facilities in the network.
  • Manage preventative maintenance with minimum disruption to operations, customers and building services.
  • Plan out and ensure serviceability of Ground Support Equipment for the Operations team.
  • Delegate preventative maintenance tasks to the appropriately qualified maintenance technicians or departments. 
  • Closely assist Corporate Operations Engineering and Corporate Real Estate in implementing Capital projects related to the ecommerce business at multiple sites.
  • Enhance the manufacturing efficiency and productivity of the facility.
  • Lead the eCommerce facility growth initiatives and capital investments working with various stakeholders and following a strict corporate procurement process.
  • Be an active member representing facilities at the senior management group to drive the overall business performance.
  • Motivate through a work hard and winning attitude within a team environment.

Qualifications

  • Mandatory Covid-19 Vaccination Required as of October 31st, 2021
  • Experience – 3+ years of progressive experience in a warehouse or fulfillment center environment;
  • Education – Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil);
  • Excellent leadership, communication, planning, and interpersonal skills are required;
  • Ability to work within a team, manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment;
  • Excellent verbal, written, and people skills are required;
  • Strong planning and organization skills are required;
  • Provide effective leadership with innovative and proactive management techniques;
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet business demands;
  • Proficiency in MS Windows (i.e. Word, Excel, Power point, Access, etc.);
  • Travel may be required.
