Reporting to the Portfolio Manager Absolute Return, the Analyst will be responsible for supporting the development of the Quantitative Research team activities. TCC's Quantitative Research team's mandate is to provide quantitative insights to support TCC's investment objectives. The team's activities span multiple asset classes throughout the use of financial derivatives. Most of our time is spent performing research to improve our systematic trading portfolio as well as evaluating and proposing discretionary trading ideas. Our team comprises of four teammates with backgrounds including finance, actuarial science, mathematics, and computer science.

TCC's Quantitative Research team is looking to add a software developer to grow its technology infrastructure. The team builds its own internal tools for trading and research. Our technology stack includes Python, SQL, JavaScript, React, Git and Azure DevOps.

Role and Responsibilities: 
  • Improving coding standards, documentation, and systems 
  • Building and improving current and new visualization tools 
  • Contribute to the improvement of our unit testing practices 
  • Participate in improving the use of versioning tools such as Git and Azure DevOps within the team 
  • Participate in improving CI/CD pipeline 
  • Building new features and refactoring 
  • Supporting the team operations and resolving production issues 
  • Share best practices and industry trends with the team

Qualifications

  • Mandatory Covid-19 Vaccination Required as of October 31st, 2021
  • University degree in computer science, computer engineering or another related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of pertinent experience
  • Professional experience programming with Python, SQL, and unit testing
  • Professional experience with a version control system
  • Professional experience developing UI interfaces with JavaScript or React, a plus
  • Professional experience developing REST APIs, a plus
  • Professional experience in DevOps management and CI/CD, a plus
  • Professional experience in financial markets, a plus
