We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to fill a new role within the Accounting Department of Trans-Canada Capital (TCC), reporting to the Manager Finance – AC Life & TCC.

  • Review and challenge invoices/billings by liaising and following up with both external and internal clients to get resolution in a timely manner;

  • Create accounts receivable billings and process payable invoices for internal clients;

  • Act as the key contact person for issues relating to billings and payments;

  • Perform routine data reviews and follow-up with users and external parties for continuous improvement of data integrity;

  • Develop reports and perform cost analysis using internal and external data, to enable the business unit with tools to improve their financial performance;

  • Perform data-integrity analysis and apply best practices to plan and make data-driven recommendations towards improving the overall results;

  • Develop, manage and enhance processes to ensure efficient data analysis;

  • Ensure a consistently high level of quality in service provided relative to timeliness, accuracy, and user-friendly output;

  • Ensure effective financial managing process/system and controls are developed, implemented, and maintained in accordance with policies and requirements;

  • Establish a positive relationship with internal clients, effectively balancing financial control and support roles;

  • Perform other related duties, as assigned.



  • Undergraduate Degree in an appropriate field such as Commerce, and/or a minimum of two (2) years of experience in receivables and disbursements, in an accounting organization and/or business functions;
  • Finance and/or Accounting degree is an asset;
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and to prioritize heavy workloads and tight deadlines;
  • Solid time management and organizational skills;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Self-starter, energetic with strong sense of initiative, creative approach to solving problems;
  • Willingness to adapt to a constantly changing work environment;
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and ability to learn financial software/applications.
