The position reports to the Managing Director, Cargo.
The Manager, Business Development – Cargo is responsible to define, support, and implement strategic, operational, and organizational branch initiatives.
Responsible to work with the Managing Director, Cargo re: the development of branch initiatives to facilitate the achievement of current and future strategic direction and plans.
Responsible to lead, direct and coordinate branch initiatives as assigned.
Provide leadership and direction in areas related to negotiations, business opportunities and implementation plans.
Responsible for determining the viability of contemplated business initiatives. Responsible for providing methodology and for conducting business research and analysis in order to evaluate business opportunities.
Responsible for building strong relationships with key partners both within and outside of the Cargo Branch and must be able to effectively communicate at all levels of the business.
Maintain and utilize current professional/technical knowledge, skills and tools in the fields of Business, Supply Chain Management and Cargo.
Provide leadership, support, and oversight of the projects and achievement of branch goals
Responsible to lead, direct and coordinate the development of branch initiatives to facilitate the achievement of current and future strategic directions and plans.
Work with Senior Management to formulate innovative strategies to exploit opportunities and address threats.
Responsible to lead, direct and coordinate Air Canada Cargo’s activities on assigned branch initiatives.
