During peak and vacation periods, the Coordinator must help with the smooth operation of the department (processing test results, maintaining files, coordination, etc.)

  • Keep the linguistic files of AC personnel up to date (language profiles/letters of offer (Taleo) and enter conditions of employment in PeopleSoft, eLang)
  • Administer written tests and send copies to revisers
  • Review reports and process results in eLang (candidates and employees)
  • In the absence of the Language Testing manager:
    • Ensure that testers' agendas are up to date
    • Manage test schedules for Air Canada Rouge events – Liaise with Air Canada Vacations’recruitment team and testers
    • Respond to the questions/needs of employees and recruiters
    • Order announcement manuals (RRDonelly)
    • Manage the receipt and redistribution of Language pin orders
  • In the absence of the Translation managers:
    • Coordinate translation/revision requests (consultants, internal clients, supplier)
    • Follow up on translation/revision requests
  • Gather and compile the documents used to build files (for Employment Equity annual report, etc.)
  • In the absence of the Language Training manager or specialist:
    • Reserve classrooms
    • Update the Language Training schedule on the portal and the registration tool
  • Related tasks


  • Minimum college degree
  • Available 20 to 25 hours per week or more during vacation periods
  • Flexible schedule
  • Detail oriented
  • Organizational skills and ability to perform administrative tasks
  • Ability to work occasionally under pressure
  • Tact, discretion, judgement, initiative
  • Communication skills – Customer oriented
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changes
  • Good knowledge of MS-Word, Excel and willingness to learn new applications used internally
