We are now hiring a talented Financial Services Analyst to join our dynamic Regional Airlines team. Reporting to Manager, Financial services, the  incumbent will be a key member of the team, supporting a wide range of corporate reorting activities. Responsabilities:

  • Perform a full cycle of monthly reporting activities including prepare journal entries, run close-off models, validate invoices by running internal analysis, prepare balance sheet reconciliations in line with a month-end task checklist.
  • Monitor, validate and process incoming charges / revenues as required relating to the Capacity Purchase Agreement (CPA).
  • Provide support to investor relations team on monthly, quarterly, and year-end variance explanations regarding CPA versus Budget, Outlooks, prior years results
  • Generate monthly P&L reports with AC reporting tools, provide variance explanations and actively participate in the report review process in accordance with corporate/branch financial and accounting policies and requirements.
  • Play an active role in planning, preparation and explanation of periodic outlook, annual budget, and long range plan  
  • Actively participate in annual CPA Rate setting process in the assigned area
  • Assist Manager, Financial Services and other team members in providing financial support to branch personnel regarding interpretation and application of CPA, financial and accounting policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Participate in financial audits and ad hoc valuation projects as required 
  • Establish positive and effective working relationships with internal teams as well as our external partners

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance or Accounting. An Accounting designation or an MBA is an asset.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in financial processes and financial analysis techniques.
  • Leader and self-starter with demonstrated strong financial, technical skills and creativity.
  • Must be results driven and attentive to detail 
  • A strong team player with demonstrated record of initiative and strong work ethic.
  • Experience/knowledge of company/airline operations is an asset. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with others.
  • Excellent communication skills - oral and written.
  • Good organization skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Highly motivated and energetic individual with ambition to learn.
  • Advanced Excel, Word, Power Point and experience working with financial software/applications.
