The Product Manager will be responsible for leading a team and overseeing the development, launch, and maintenance of core digital products.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including development, design, marketing, loyalty, business development and other business groups, to drive product strategy, define product roadmaps, and ensure successful execution of the product vision. 

This position may be located in Montreal or Toronto

Responsibilities:

Product Strategy and Roadmap:

  • Develop and articulate a compelling product vision and strategy that aligns with Air Canada’s | Aeroplan’s business objectives.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product performance, track adoption, engagement, and revenue etc.
  • Create and communicate product roadmaps and define and prioritize product features and enhancements based on customer needs, market analysis, and business goals.

Product Development and Execution:

  • Champion the customer's voice and ensure a customer-centric approach in all product decisions and initiatives. 
  • Drive the end-to-end product development process, including discovery, problem and solution definition, design, development, testing, and launch.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure products are developed to meet customer needs and adhere to quality standards.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance, user feedback, and market trends to iterate on existing products and identify opportunities for new product development.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Lead a team of product owners, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure individual and team success.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the product team, promoting cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Set clear goals and expectations, identify opportunities for growth and work with product owners to help them develop and grow in their careers. 
  • Work closely with development, design, marketing, loyalty, business development and other business teams to align priorities, resolve conflicts, and ensure successful product launches.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, customers, and partners, to gather feedback, align expectations, and drive product adoption.
  • Communicate product updates, milestones, and launches to internal teams, external partners, and customers.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop effective product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.

Market and Competitive Analysis:

  • Stay connected to industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a leading position in the loyalty and airline industry.
  • Conduct market research and customer interviews to gain insights and validate product ideas.
  • Use data-driven approaches to analyze product performance, customer behavior, and market dynamics to make informed product decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of product management experience focused on digital products or a combination of relevant education and real-world experience.
  • Proven experience as a product manager, with a track record of successfully launching and managing products throughout their lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding and experience using modern product management and agile delivery principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Experience with loyalty programs, e-commerece, or digital products is a plus.
