The International Indirect Tax Compliance Analyst will support the international indirect tax compliance process including (i) assisting with indirect tax compliance and audits including preparing tax reports, refund claims and drafting audit replies (ii) reviewing exception reports and errors from automated indirect tax solution (iii) implementing and actioning any workarounds for system limitations and (iii) managing account reconciliation for indirect tax. 

This position can be located anywhere in the world.

Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for reviewing exception reports and errors from automated tax solution. 
  • Implement and action any workarounds for system limitations to meet indirect tax compliance obligations. 
  • Support Manager or Director with indirect tax compliance and audits, including preparing and timely sending tax reports needed for reporting and filing.
  • Investigate anomalies in remittances / systems, prepare remediation plans and ensure appropriate implementation of solution.
  • Ensure accurate accounting for international indirect tax liabilities and maintain complete audit trails in compliance with corporate guidelines and legislation requirements.
  • Prepare international indirect tax refund claims.
  • Prepare replies to audit queries.
  • Responsible for preparation of quarterly and annual reconciliation of indirect tax accounts.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business or Finance.
  • Accounting designation required.
  • Work experience in the indirect tax field and/or knowledge of indirect taxes is an asset
  • Advanced MS Office (i.e., Excel, Word & PowerPoint) and MS Power Platform (i.e., Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of English required.
  • Experience with SOVOS and SAP S/4HANA Cloud ERP application is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with others.
  • Excellent communication skills / oral and written.
  • Demonstrated record of initiative and work ethic.
  • Good organization skills and ability to work under pressure.
