The e-Learning Manager is responsible for the creative design, development and delivery of all e-Learning content in the support of Corporate Talent objectives. They leverage their background in learning and developing leading practices to design engaging, impactful content, collaborating closely with the Director and other team members to align and integrate e-Learning content and approaches with existing and emerging Corporate Talent initiatives. Their e-Learning design role is complemented by their involvement in direct facilitation, as well as “train the trainer” when required. They lead the ongoing measurement and evaluation of e-Learning content and approaches and play a leading role in evolving Corporate Talent’s utilization of key e-Learning tools and methodologies over time.  

Responsibilities:

  • Leverages expertise on e-learning platforms (e.g., Articulate Storyline 360) to design engaging and impactful e-learning content that prioritizes the learner experience, based on a strong understanding of learning and development principles and design strategies
  • Consults with stakeholders (e.g., HRBPs) and performs needs analyses as required to ensure alignment on learning objectives and outcomes
  • In partnership with LMS advisor, utilizes knowledge of LMS capabilities to recommend delivery strategies that yield a rich, meaningful and dynamic learner experience
  • Participates in developing strategies to drive user adoption of e-Learning content
  • Facilitates L&D workshops and sessions across multiple channels (e.g., in-person, virtual, recorded), and conducts Train-the-Trainer workshops to help equip others for delivery
  • Partners with the LMS advisor to oversee and manage the e-Learning test environment, advising on operational issues, risks, and constraints; performs ongoing maintenance and quality-assurance efforts for Corporate Talent’s e-Learning and digital content 
  • Leverages e-Learning tools and approaches to support and enhance other Corporate Talent initiatives (e.g., leadership development programs, Performance Management), and stays current on emerging digital / media tools that could potentially form part of Corporate Talent’s e-learning approach
  • Leads the design of specific performance and evaluation criteria to measure the effectiveness of e-Learning effectiveness and outcomes
  • Supports the managing of external vendor e-Learning relationships and contracts

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience applying e-Learning tools to create and manage content related to employee learning and development as well as other initiatives (e.g., performance management, leadership development) 
  • Degree/diploma in instructional design / technology, with strong expertise in e-Learning content design and adult learning models
  • Experience with LMS functionality for e-Learning delivery and administration
  • Familiarity with talent management programs (e.g., leadership development, performance management, employee life cycle) as well as learning and development design frameworks
  • Experience and confident in direct facilitation / training, both in-person and virtual
  • Ability to research, interpret and present on e-Learning usage, measurement of objectives and continuous improvement 
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing data and creating reports for key stakeholders
  • Ability to plan tactics, set priorities and perform tasks independently in a complex environment; strong program / project management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to flex and adapt to changing situations
  • Demonstrates a “can-do” attitude to effectively manage multiple priorities and produce high quality deliverables
