Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Strategy, Planning & Performance, this role is responsible for collaborating with senior management and executive leaders to define Air Canada’s multi-year strategy for IDD (IT, Digital and Data), Product and Loyalty teams, and to ensure progress towards achieving the airline’s goals and objectives.

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the development of the IDD (IT, Digital and Data), Product and Loyalty multi-year strategy to enable the airline to meet their business objectives and goals
  • Responsible for adjusting/updating the IDD, Product and Loyalty team multi-year strategy to ensure alignment to corporate priorities and to account for changes to the operating environment
  • Lead the definition, prioritization and maintenance of the IDD, Product and Loyalty 5-year capital investment plan
  • Lead key strategic engagements to ensure progress towards AC’s defined goals and objectives
  • Work cross functionally with a variety of teams throughout the airline to ensure successful delivery of key initiatives and priorities
  • Working with senior and executive leaders, support the identification, evaluation and recommendation of new investment opportunities based on deep analysis
  • Lead the development of executive presentations and board level reporting for the IDD, Product and Loyalty teams, including all Board of Directors updates
  • Distill complex business problems and work through potential solutions by utilizing appropriate frameworks and data sources
  • Collaborate with senior management and executive leaders to improve decision making by sharing timely analysis and recommendations on a variety of business topics
  • Be a trusted strategic advisor to senior and executive leaders

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in strategy, management consulting or marketing 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, strategy, marketing or related discipline required (MBA an asset)
  • Previous Management Consulting or similar experience is an asset
  • Exceptional business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Incredibly strong communication skills with ability to present complex topics in a clear and understandable manner to an executive audience in a time-sensitive environment
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite, especially Powerpoint
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally, communicate effectively and handle complex deliverables 
  • Ability to function in a high paced and dynamic environment, handling multiple time-critical projects 
  • Knowledge of Air Canada, Aeroplan, commercial aviation, IT/Digital, Data & Analytics required
  • Results oriented with proactive and methodical approach to problem solving
  • Must be a team player with ability to work closely with diverse groups from various levels of the organization with different working styles
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective business relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders 
  • Flexibility and willingness to work extended hours, when required
