Based in the Air Canada Montreal Headquarters and reporting to the Manager RM, the Demand Analyst is responsible to optimize revenue on assigned group of Origin-Destinations by monitoring and managing the demand on specific markets and points of sales in support of the corporate objectives.
To keep for Compensation: The revenue responsibility range of a Demand Analyst is $400M to $1,100M.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage Origin-Destination demand forecasts in PROS O&DIII based on historical data, market changes and other influential external factor.
- Review forecast performance, monitor holidays/special events and alerts that indicate variance in bookings from forecast in order to identify sub-optimal situations or opportunities to increase network revenues.
- Apply forecast influences to reflect market conditions not yet captured by PROS O&D forecaster.
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge/understanding of the booking demand curve, the effects of current market and competitive forces, market strategies and network flows.
- Produce and analyze management information reports to support decision making and to audit implemented strategies.
- Develop and maintain expertise on revenue management tools and techniques, as well as marketing information systems.
- Liaise with Flight Analysts, Pricing Analysts & other Demand Analysts in an effort to best manage market actions and ensure that the network and regional objectives remain in-line with corporate objectives.
- Liaise with Network Planning with regards to longer term schedule opportunities
- Stimulate demand by leveraging other market controls such as pricing actions, Aeroplan offers, etc.
Qualifications
- University degree required with specialization in business, economics, mathematics, engineering or equivalent. Graduate studies are an asset.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to generate reports and successfully translate and communicate the data to achieve corporate goals
- Proven leadership, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and to prioritize heavy workloads and tight deadlines
- Solid business/commercial orientation and experience as well as an understanding of the airline industry competitive environment
- Must be a team player, self-starter and able to work under general direction
- Proficiency with Excel and Word applications. Knowledge of Access is an asset
- Experience & knowledge in Origin-Destination Revenue Management an asset
