Air Canada (AC) and affiliates are embarking on an exciting Finance Transformation journey. This includes selection & implementation of new SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solutions at its core. Air Canada is looking for an individual who can build our future finance systems to achieve automation, leverage data to increase performance insights, enabling the next generation delivery model and serve as a strategic business partner to the organization. 

Reporting to the International Pillar Implementation Lead, the Manager, Business Process International Finance - Unifier will oversee the output of the business Finance processes working closely with the Finance Team to consolidate requirements, and to establish and implement the designated solution for all AC entities with a primary focus on the Europe, Middle East, Africa and India (EMEAI) region. The individual will take part in a multi-year implementation project with the intent to continue in a similar role in the organization.


  • Drive and implement requirements that support the development of components of the Finance Transformation Program in collaboration with the Finance and Program teams
  • Work closely in collaboration with the System Integrator (SI) providing oversight and key input to the process development
  • Ensure AC’s design principles are applied across all areas of the stream including unified processes using out of the box functionality and quality first
  • Responsible for stream project updates to the International Pillar lead, evaluate and identify risks and discuss recommendations with the Pillar lead on a regular basis
  • Identify and document gaps in out of the box functionality
  • Gather and analyze data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
  • Work collaboratively with other Process Area members (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Procurement, etc.) to ensure process intersection points are known and optimized
  • Ensure design decisions are made through collaboration with business stakeholders
  • Continuously assess and enhance testing processes, test cases, and work closely with the System Integrator to resolve issues promptly
  • Identify, track and manage defects throughout the testing lifecycle, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to prioritize, report and monitor defects 
  • Work closely with SI during the System Integration Testing (SIT) to validate the interaction between finance modules and other integrated systems
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with the EMEAI, and International finance end-users to validate system functionality and improve user experience 
  • Implement adoption of standardized enterprise-wide processes aligned with leading practices throughout the program lifecycle and post go live
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful testing and deployment of SAP International Finance solutions
  • Provide input, review, and regional sign-off on UAT documentation
  • Ensure that SAP solutions meet the International and overall Finance business requirements. 
  • Promote change management activities such as fostering desire for change, training, documentation, and post go live support


  • Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline with experience in transformation IT projects or in a technology discipline with experience in Finance
  • Experience in airline industry and process area is an asset
  • 5+ years of related experience in a large company
  • Experience in SAP S/4HANA Cloud ERP application is an asset
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience working in an Agile team environment
  • Ability to foster teamwork, and to effectively drive cross-team solutions that have complex dependencies and requirements
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience leading and facilitating workshops with different types of stakeholders 
  • Ability to anticipate consequences of situations and be prepared for potential contingencies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work under pressure and to multitask with a strong sense of priorities
  • Ability to travel overseas when required
  • English language is required, French is an asset
  • Must have ability to work in the United Kingdom without restriction
