Reporting to the Director, Network Optimization, this position will work with the branch to build freighter flight schedules and route evaluations. The successful candidate will also play an important role in planning freighter routes in close collaboration with passenger Network Planning and provide work in tandem with the commercial groups to build revenue projections on new and existing freighter routes.

Key Functions & Accountability:

  • Build and calibrate monthly freighter flight schedule and coordinate with PAX Network planning.
  • Create detailed models and synthesize large amounts of data into actionable business insights and recommend innovative solutions.
  • Assist in optimizing profitability of entire network plan.
  • Provide revenue forecasts for the route evaluations from Network Planning
  • Work with the Revenue Planning team and commercial teams to evaluate new routes and schedules.'
  • Optimize freighter deployment to maximize asset utilization, revenues, and profits.
  • Analyze data and report weekly on the revenue/profitability and trends of the freighter network.
  • Coordinate the freighter flying plan with passenger Network Planning team to ensure cohesion between the two business units. 
  • Communicate the planned schedule on a monthly basis.
  • Act as a focal point with the commercial and operational teams collecting and disseminating market intelligence and schedule info.
  • Update and verify the passenger and freighter schedules within the cargo systems.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in resource scheduling an asset.
  • University degree; Focus in Finance, Operational Research, Mathematics or Business an asset
  • 3+ years experience in transportation, air cargo or airline a definite asset Excellent analytical, planning and organizational skills. 
  • Results-oriented and influential with exceptional people and communication skills 
  • Ability to lead projects at a network level to influence and obtain buy-in, analysis and achievement of the right results.
  • Strong facilitation and leadership skills in order to drive motivation and change. 
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced Computer Skills: BI tools, MS Office suite of products, Power BI
