Reporting to the Sr Manager, Financial Services – IT, the Financial Services Manager will be joining a major Enterprise Resource Planning finance transformation program. They will be responsible for financial management, planning, reporting and policy guidance . They will be working closely with project managers, program leads, strategic procurement, and vendors to track, analyze and report on the programs’ financial health.
Key Functions and Responsibilities:
- Analyze and track cash flows and report actuals versus forecast / budget with detail variance analysis including resource planning and miscellaneous expenses trackers.
- Gain deep understanding of each program delivery team and the stakeholders to align and improve the financial performance.
- Actively be involved in the preparation of the annual budget and participate in the quarterly revised forecast process.
- Align with key stakeholders, IT technical team, strategic procurement, vendors, System Integrator, and vendor Management.
- Implement program controls to identify risks against budget / forecast.
- Prepare program financial analysis for the Steering Committee and assist with preparation of monthly and quarterly business review presentations.
- Ensure program change request process is followed. Track and identify any change in product specification or cost requiring stakeholder and vendor approvals.
- Ensure effective financial management of processes / systems and controls are developed, implemented, and maintained in accordance with company policies.
- Establish a positive relationship with clients while effectively balancing financial control, advisory and support roles. Coordinate effectively to obtain up-to-date forecasts, documentation and sign-offs.
- Provide high quality service meeting key timelines, accuracy, and user-friendly output.
- Support ad hoc request with financial analysis and reporting requirements
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Business, Finance or Accounting is required
- Accounting and/or business designation CPA is an asset
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to analyze and report back on complex data
- Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with others
- Self-started, energetic with strong sense of initiative and creativity
- Ability to learn financial systems quickly
- Demonstrated organization skills and ability to work under pressure and reach to changing timelines
- Experience working with financial software/applications such as Microsoft Suite/Peoplesoft/SAP/Tableau
- Ability to build and maintain advanced financial models in Microsoft Excel and intermediate to advanced PowerPoint skills.
- Project management experience is an asset
