The Sales Planning Commercial Analyst is responsible for maintaining and optimize current reports, as well as provide data analysis and marketplace feedback to build a competitive understanding of the Sales environment.  This role will require the individual to support both the Sales and Revenue Management teams in reporting and data interpretation. 

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver (design, automate and produce) standard reports on a regular basis. 
  • Optimize and automate current reports 
  • Learn new data sources and how it can be integrated into our current reporting
  • Provide analytical support to the Sales and Revenue Management teams
  • Provide in-depth analytical support for senior management
  • Create reports/queries (ad hoc queries) from our data sources (revenue, booking, ticketing) 
  • Ensure integrity of sales systems and databases 
  • Provide detailed analysis of shortfalls and identification of opportunities in the market    
  • Monitor AC performance in the market, on a daily basis, to identify shortfalls and opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Main knowledge & Skill Requirements
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills used to recommend and implement effective solutions. Creative approach to solving problems
  • Expert knowledge in SQL and Advanced Excel (macros, PivotTables, VBA)
  • Experience with PowerBI (or equivalent Business Intelligence tool)
  • Deliver (design, automate and produce) standard reports on a regular basis. 
  • Experience in report design, data manipulation, report automation and timely delivery 
  • Knowledge of the airline business an asset
  • High initiative and strong ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task
  • University degrees in Commerce, IT or equivalent preferred
