Reporting to the Senior Manager, Portfolio Management, the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) is a leadership discipline that drives strategic execution and maximizes business value through the optimization and oversight of program/project investments which align to Line of Business (LOB) goals and strategies.
The Portfolio Analyst supports the ongoing portfolio management practice by working closely with the portfolio managers, overseeing the processes and tools for regular portfolio updates as well as driving data integrity and reporting.
The Portfolio Analyst will closely liaise with IT Portfolio Managers to evolve and maintain a more efficient, accurate and continuous enterprise IT portfolio and prioritization process allowing for adjustments to Corporate, Branch and Departmental demand and IT constraints through regular senior leadership and executive committee reviews.
The Portfolio Analyst also contributes to overall portfolio financial management and oversight.
Responsibilities

In collaboration with Portfolio Managers, Product COE, Project Finance and business partnerships, operate and support both the Annual Roadmap and Continuous rolling iterative IT Project Portfolio management process with strategy, supporting tools (templates) and reports (dashboards).

Support the Executive IT Portfolio sessions by preparing the narrative, strategic reporting and status on the overall IT Portfolio as well as its accompanying meeting material.

Schedule and facilitate the IT Feasibility and IT Consultation sessions and manage the associated processes, inputs and outcomes.

Collaborate and align with PMO Governance on PPM tools ensuring their continually meet the needs for portfolio management practice and reporting.

Evolve and maintain Project Intake estimating and scoring guidelines for the Business Partner and IT Feasibility teams.

Evaluate Intake Estimate performance by comparing intake cost estimates Financial Closures.

Support portfolio reviews; preparation, minutes and resulting follow-ups including updates/changes, risks and opportunities.

Work within the Management Operating System - MOS to support all the above, taking into account SLT Portfolio Reviews, Executive Portfolio Reviews and Outlook submission deadlines.

Support production and maintenance of ‘Plan on a Page’ views by portfolio.

Support strategic and enhanced Portfolio Reporting for management and senior leadership teams.

Ensure data quality and integrity; work with Project Managers, PMO analysts and other teams to improve inputs where necessary.

Document management for the portfolio management practice.
Qualifications

Demonstrated knowledge of Project/Program Management principles and financial management (including Waterfall and Agile Methodology)

Relevant University degree/technical certification and 3-5 years of IT technology, operations and people leadership experience in a large company

High proficiency in MS Office 365 Applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint, etc.)

Excellent organizational and coordination abilities; strong attention to detail

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and high complexity

Must be able work with minimal supervision; self-motivated and results-oriented

Critical thinking & analytical skills - problem diagnosis, resolution options, successful plan execution

Effective communication skills, both oral and written and interpersonal skills

Must be able to build positive working relationships across a broad spectrum

PMP certification an asset

Certifications in business analytics, PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis), CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) a great asset
