Air Canada is looking for an Analyst, Paid Digital Media to support the monitoring, reporting & optimization of Air Canada and Aeroplan digital media activities, and to help us navigate through a cookieless future, by enabling more effective use of our 1st party data in our digital marketing campaigns. Joining the Air Canada Media Desk (ACMD), reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing & Performance the individual will provide analytics insights and reporting support and will be responsible for the delivery of any data and analytics required to support the delivery of digital campaigns and understanding of trends and performance that will determine future strategies.
The ideal candidate will have strong blend of experience in both data analytics and digital media, and is someone who will bring strong analytical investigation in their domain to challenge the status quo in the aim of driving business KPIs.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting development –Responsible for identifying improvements or efficiencies in existing reporting/tracking, new reports to be created and additional data sources to be incorporated (e.g. website clickstream data, other channel revenue)

Reporting maintenance –Maintenance of existing digital media performance dashboards (always on and promotional campaign performance). Employ Quality Assurance best practice principles to identify and resolve errors. Uses other data sources to cross reference for validation

Post campaign reporting – Alongside the digital media managers, produce paid media specific post campaigns deep dive reports and provide recommendations on pertinent data, views and charts that will determine actionable insights on campaign performance.

Analytics thought leadership – Become the Subject Matter Expert on measurement of industry standards and alternatives, providing advice on methodologies for marketing and media analytics, and measurement and attribution.

Performance trends deep dive – Leverage existing reporting and/or enterprise wide data, to provide regular performance insights and deep dives that support digital media performance, tactic effectiveness and overall strategy

Test planning – Work closely with digital media managers and Marketing Communications to develop testing strategies and roadmaps to support the optimization of digital media campaigns and activities
Qualifications
-
3+ Years’ experience in media analytics, digital media and marketing or other fields with performance measurement
-
University degree or College diploma in statistics, economics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, operational research, or other relevant training in data analytics

Experience working with relational databases, using SQL to extract and manipulate vast amounts of data.

Experience using and developing business intelligence (visualization) tools (Power BI highly desirable)

Ability to perform analytics, with ability to clearly communicate findings both written and orally; strong oral and communication skills

Strong problem solving and trouble-shooting skills.

Ability to work collaboratively and in partnership to deliver high quality data solutions

Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments at once

Strong business acumen is essential
COMPLEMENTARY QUALIFICATIONS
-
Experience with Web Analytics tools (Adobe Analytics, GA360) - able to create reports to monitor and optimize media budget

Experience creating audiences and floodlights in Google Campaign Manager 360

Experience using Google Ads, DV360, SA360, Facebook for Business platforms

Experience with cross channel attribution (across paid and owed channels) highly desirable

Experience setting and working through A/B testing roadmaps to support channel optimization
