Be the main point of contact for Australia & NZ reporting internally and externally, regularly supplying reports to GM and sales managers, and to key partners on performance of revenue, market share and contracted Incentive Commission Programs.
 
Analyse and interpret company performance data and present findings to help the commercial sales team take actionable steps to improve company results and achieve goals.
 
Collaborate with all Australia & New Zealand business units including General Manager to understand and develop strategies to maximize revenue through the management and analysis of various reporting tools.
 
Key Functions & Accountabilities:
  • Prepare weekly and monthly commercial reporting. Present in weekly commercial meeting and distribute to Sales Managers and General Manager
  • Regular reporting to include revenue performance to target, Bookings/pax numbers, Incentive Commission Programs, Corporate Contracts, market share and adhoc reporting as required.
  • Implement ongoing reporting dashboard highlighting key performance indicators and trend analysis based on available data.
  • Be comfortable utilizing and analysing reports in PowerBI and all available apps. Recommend changes and updates.
  • Manage commercial reporting for travel trade and corporate partners, build relationships with counterparts and distribute regularly as agreed.
  • Manage the contracting work flow of commercial negotiations and hold regular meetings with GM updating progress.
  • Implement process for the tracking, forecasting and payment of Incentive Commission Programs.
  • Prepare contracts for ICP & corporate clients and liaise with HQ legal teams and agency contracting team following approval process.
  • Manage agency IATA database ongoing and update immediately as changes occur. 
  • Assist in preparation of powerpoint slides for commercial team to present to clients in monthly and quarterly review meetings, and also as required for any internal team sales meetings.
  • Analyse cost of sale by distribution channel to review opportunity areas to increase profitability.
  • Develop strategies to reduce cost of sale through contract optimization, fare performance while maintaining or growing revenue
  • Work with internal departments to collect and analyze raw data to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and other helpful information.
  • Using data to develop and optimize strategies and processes, increase profits, efficiency, quality, or security, and reduce costs.
  • Reviewing and improving analytics processes, methods, and tools to increase efficiency, accuracy, and security.

Qualifications

  • Experience in similar analytical roles, preferably with an airline. 
  • Strong track record for delivering reports and KPI tracking.
  • Very comfortable with data and reports. Experience using PowerBI desirable.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with an aptitude for precision. 
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meeting deadlines, and without supervision.
  • Good judgment, discretion, and decision-making ability
  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
