The Cybersecurity team at Air Canada is seeking a highly motivated individual to support the Cybersecurity Strategy & Service Management team, in ensuring data-driven decision-making throughout the Cybersecurity organization. 

As a Senior Analyst on the team, you'll be a highly valued thought partner for stakeholders. An expert problem solver utilizing quantitative and qualitative methods in reporting. As well as driving the optimization/automation/improvements on reporting capabilities. The goal is to obtain and manage the appropriate data to provide a complete picture of activities and associated risks.

Your knowledge of the Cybersecurity landscape, along with deep business context, will enable you to perform analysis to ensure the IT organization and Business Leaders are well-informed to make, Data Driven decisions.

Key Functions
  • Provide high-quality reporting, analyses, and insights to leadership. 
  • Support Cybersecurity using various methods and, techniques to identify ways to improve cybersecurity
  • Elaborate, and automate data and analytics solutions
  • Build prototype models and dashboards to provide insights 
  • Create effective, scalable, and intuitive reporting solutions
  • Use analytical reasoning to identify problems, develop hypotheses and recommend viable solutions
  • Review and analyze data from multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • In collaboration with the various stakeholders, develop, document, monitor and maintain the various cybersecurity reports and dashboards
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on the interpretation of the metrics and corrective measures
  • Provide expertise in the definition, selection and implementation of metrics and measurement methodologies
  • Communicate target metrics to stakeholders
  • Communicate analyses results and making recommendations to relevant stakeholders 
  • Support cybersecurity strategy and planning 
  • Optimize data by consolidating and structuring the data to derive anomalies increasing capabilities
  • Develop and optimize data analyses processes, tools, and reports.  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a field that uses quantitative analysis or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of work experience and knowledge of Cybersecurity
  • Ability to operate effectively under conditions of ambiguity and change
  • Ability to self-start
  • Strong analytical and analysis skills in order to extract insights and recommendations
  • Experience in Databases such SQL (1000 +etc.) 
  • Excel – Advanced (Macros, pivot tables, formulas, functions) 
  • Working knowledge in Business intelligence tools (i.e Power BI etc)
  • Core business skills – presentation/analytical/reporting
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Strong knowledge of SQL for analytics, data mining and data manipulation.
  • ETL knowledge an asset
  • Ability to work cohesively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of governance, risk and compliance (GRC) tools an asset, IT security certification, an asset
