The Strategic Procurement (SP) organization is comprised of several Category Management teams and a Centre of Excellence (COE) group. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Manager, Procurement Operations and assist with the Procure to Pay activities within the Procurement Operations team.
Key Accountabilities
Lead adoption for all Procurement Operations programs (Ariba Buying, Supplier Enablement, PCard)

Implement strategies and wave plans to continuously grow spend and drive adoption of Ariba Buying, Ariba Invoicing, Ariba Network, Guided Buying, and the corporate P-Card program company-wide.

Achieve paperless and touchless transactions with Suppliers in collaboration with Accounts Payable, Strategic Procurement Managers, Contract Owners, and Suppliers.

Ensure compliance of Procure-to-Pay activities to the Procurement Policy and manage the Procure-to-Pay compliance program in collaboration with the Manager, Procurement Governance.

Measure and communicate metrics, KPIs, baselines, targets and non-compliance to applicable teams and put in place remediation activities

Ensure controls are in place to ensure Procure-to-Pay and PCard activities are performed in adherence to the Procurement Policy, Code of Conduct and Delegated Authorities. Always ensure segregation of duties is in place. Collaborate w/ Audit as required
Lead the optimization and digitalization of Procure-to-Pay processes

Increase efficiency of procurement operations, with a focus on streamlining, simplifying, and automating processes across the entire procure-to-pay cycle

Lead configuration of Ariba Buying to meet corporate needs and collaborate with Information Technology to manage new releases

Promote the use of Ariba Buying for tactical sourcing and purchasing by implementing best practices with internal branches and stakeholders

Channel tactical sourcing to the Procurement Desk. Build tactical sourcing and procurement knowledge libraries that includes tools and templates that can be leveraged by internal stakeholders

Support the strategy to continuously improve user experience, increase efficiency and drive automation

Stay abreast of Procure-to-Pay innovations

Establish and execute the innovation roadmap in collaboration with the Manager, SP, Procurement Platform.
Support Supplier Enablement

Establish supplier qualification and enablement strategies in collaboration with the Manager, Procurement Operations Supplier Enablement

Promote purchase with preferred suppliers by leveraging Ariba technology
Continuously identify and implement process improvements to create value and simplify business processes while minimize risk in assigned area of responsibility:

Identify and execute improvement opportunities from People/Process/Technology perspective
-
Continuously improve stakeholders experience and increase technology and process adoption
-
Identify satisfaction measurements to guide improvement prioritization
Qualifications
-
The individual must have excellent organization skills and the flexibility to adapt to a continuously evolving environment. They must also be able to exercise independent problem solving and decision making with initiative and self-coordination. The successful candidate must possess strong project management, communication, and presentation skills. Collaboration, diplomacy, and tact are also central as the role entails engaging, representing, and motivating a variety of stakeholders with divergent perspectives, objectives and interests.

In addition to a University degree in a relevant field of study (business, math, engineering, and supply chain) the successful candidate will demonstrate excellent analytical skills plus the ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and accommodate changing priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.

Experience in Procurement operations and Strategic Sourcing would be an asset. As well as
-
using procurement technology, specifically SAP Ariba.

Due to the confidential nature of our work, a high degree of professionalism and discretion is required.

Flexibility with work hours and occasional travel may also be necessary.
