Take leadership in managing and negotiating Air Canada Cargo’s service level agreements for more than 100 locations globally. Develop and oversee service provision levels, establish effective Customer & Supplier relationships globally. Ensure operations perform within budget.

  • Ensure Safety, Security and Service standards are part of all Airport agreements and monitored through Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Compliance with IOSA standards, SMS and other application authorities. Assure the good management all Airport Contracts. Where Audit activities have revealed vulnerabilities, implement corrective measures to address root cause.
  • Allocate airport operations equipment, labour, financial resources and policies for
  • Air Canada to ensure effective safety and security of operations. 
  • Lead the Cargo Vendor Management team, with the involvement of the operation, to develop and implement service agreements.
  • Negotiate all Air Canada Cargo contracts for warehousing and trucking globally
  • Develop vendor management lifecycle for all key cargo services
  • Develop and implement tools to facilitate invoice validation and KPI reporting
  • Develop strategy to reduce cost and meet Corporate Cost Reduction goals, including capturing and maintaining data in a comparison database.
  • Provide direction to establish and manage Cargo contract budgets, monitor expenditures and communicate projections.
  • Lead the contract team to meet Corporate requirements with contract database and receive the funding approval.
  • Establish Performance measures and develop Service Level agreement (SLA) to apply to each Cargo contract.
  • Develop new strategies to maximize Vendor audit opportunities, ensure that effective trend measurement exists and that performance improvement plans are in place.
  • Develop strong relationships with Cargo Ground Handlers, Sales Agencies and Trucking & Logistics providers
  • Work closely with Station Managers and liaise with AC departments to improve efficiency, product knowledge of cargo requirements, notably Strategic Procurement, Corporate Finance, Tax, Insurance and Legal.
  • Benchmark Airport Ground Handling agreements and operations to ensure AC keeps up with developments in the industry and applies best practices.


  • Experience with data analysis, understanding of cargo operations.
  • Strong analytical, organization and planning skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience with employee management.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Understanding risk assessment.
  • Experience with unionized work environment.
