Reporting to the Director of Technology, we are currently seeking a Senior Software Developer to join the IT team responsible for developing and maintaining investment systems, monitoring tools and proprietary systems. The ideal candidate is a C# and SQL developer with extensive experience in the financial markets space. You will work in an agile and fast-paced environment with a lot of room for growth, including management or leadership opportunities.

This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week at our office downtown Montreal. 

Role and Responsibilities: 

  • Design, implement, test, deploy, maintain, and support the firm’s application and data architecture supporting business and investment activities (Proprietary and third-party solutions) 
  • Involved with all technical software development activities within the team such as designing, planning, coding, code reviewing and testing 
  • Participate actively in the design of new technological solutions and IT architecture decisions 
  • Collaborating and liaising with business teams to understand business requirements and get user feedbacks on delivered solutions 
  • Support internal clients using data on a daily basis to drive investment decisions and produce reporting 
  • Write well thought-out code, with an emphasis on quality, performance, maintainability, and scalability 
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices 
  • Be at the forefront of new technologies and suggest innovative and modern solutions 


  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience (required) 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a software developer or analyst in the financial sector (required)  
  • Proven experience with investments systems such as Eagle, Bloomberg AIM, Murex, Markit EDM  (required) 
  • Knowledge of sophisticated financial instruments such as OTC and derivatives, or good knowledge of financial markets (required) 
  • Proven experience with C#, .NET, MSSQL, Oracle, Git, Azure 
  • Experience developing front-end applications using frameworks such as React, Vue.js, Angular or similar
