Reporting to the Director of Community Engagement, the Manager, Volunteering & Stakeholder Engagement is responsible for elevating Air Canada & Air Canada Foundation through engaging employees and external stakeholders in our social good initiatives. As a manager of employee & stakeholder engagement, this individual will engage our internal employees as well as external stakeholders to ensure a seamless experience. The successful candidate has a deep appreciation for creating seamless experiences and moments for targeted demographics.
Volunteer Engagement: 
  • Ownership of the Air Canada corporate employee volunteer program. 
  • Lead and execute the development of new centralized processes for employee and retirees to represent Air Canada at events across Canada. 
  • Developing and executing training programs to ensure a strong and consistent brand representation of employees and retirees at external events. 
  • Identify inroads to integrate volunteer engagement within the business objectives of various departments. 
  • Establishing the operations of a volunteer program at Air Canada (identifying needs, training requirements, and equipping employees to represent Air Canada and the Air Canada Foundation at events across Canada). 
  • Providing direction to the Community Impact Coordinator on certain programs, such as Wings of Courage and of new internal employee engagement events and initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Identify inroads to contribute to the business objectives of various departments where current working relationships exist. 
  • Identifying key external partners/donors who support the Air Canada Foundations and develop stewardship strategies to further relationships and increase donations revenue. 
  • Identify new opportunities with external stakeholders to collaborate and deliver on Air Canada and Air Canada Foundation objectives.  
  • Identifying best practices across corporate foundation and community investment and providing recommendations for improvement.


  • University degree or equivalent experience  
  • Experienced in volunteer management 
  • Experience in events and/or event management 
  • Self-starter with demonstrated initiative and interpersonal skills 
  • Highly organized and process-efficiency oriented 
  • Motivated by relationship management  
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)  
  • Flexible hours 
  • Travel
Conditions of Employment:
